A place for the whole of it

The names and the dates, yes - but also the recipe in her handwriting, his voice on a Sunday, the photograph nobody can identify. One membership, every feature, no upsells.

01

Build the tree

Start with one person and work outwards. Nothing here needs you to understand genealogy software first.

A builder you drag
Add a parent, a partner, a child from the person you are looking at. Every step can be undone.
Unlimited people, three trees
No caps on how many relatives, how many generations, or how far back you go.
Import what you already have
A GEDCOM file from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Gramps or anywhere else loads straight in.
Find the duplicates
The same great-aunt entered twice is the commonest mess in a family tree. It finds them and merges them on your say-so.
Tree health checks
Impossible dates, a mother born after her child, people with no links at all - listed, so you can fix them.
Relationship calculator
Choose two people and it tells you what they are to each other. Second cousin once removed, settled.

02

The people, not just the names

A date of birth is a fact. A person is an occupation, a face, a place they left and never went back to.

Photographs, tagged
Put names to faces - including several people in one photograph, and in bulk when you are working through an album.
Documents and certificates
Birth, marriage and death records, letters, ship manifests. PDF or image, kept with the person they belong to.
Places, and a migration map
Where they lived and when, drawn as a map of the moves a family made across a century.
أحداث الحياة
Graduation, military service, emigration, the year the farm was sold - on a timeline with the births and marriages.
A first draft of a life story
One click writes a plain-English draft from the dates and places already recorded. Then you rewrite it properly, which is the part only you can do.

03

Voices, and things said out loud

The part families lose first, and miss most.

Record straight into the page
Up to ten minutes, in the browser, with no app to install. Or upload something you already have.
Turn speech into a story
A recording becomes text you can correct, and then a story on their profile. Off unless the site owner switches it on, and it asks before a single file is sent anywhere.
رسائل الفيديو
Embed a recording - including one addressed to people who have not been born yet.
Messages for later
Write something now and have it delivered on a date you choose. It still goes if your membership has lapsed; we will not hold a letter back over a payment.
Questions worth asking
Prompts to send a relative when you do not know where to start. "What did the house smell like?" gets better answers than "tell me about your childhood".

04

Ways of looking at it

The same family, drawn four ways, because different questions need different shapes.

Interactive, horizontal, compact
Pan and zoom a living tree, or lay it flat for a wall of generations.
مخطط مروحي
Every ancestor of one person in a half-circle. The shape that shows you instantly where the research has stopped.
تقرير الأسلاف
The classic numbered line - self, parents, grandparents - as a document.
العائلة في أرقام
Lifespans, commonest names, where everybody was born, how the family moved.
Birthdays and anniversaries
A family calendar you can subscribe to from your phone, so the dates arrive without you looking them up.

05

A book you can hold

The thing that gets handed round at Christmas, and the reason other companies charge a hundred and ninety-nine dollars a year.

A real trim size
Six by nine inches - what print-on-demand actually prints - with the inner margin wider than the outer so the text does not vanish into the spine.
Cover, contents, page numbers
It comes out as a book, not as a report with a title on top.
Faces on the page
Portraits set beside each person, shrunk and embedded so the file stays a size a print shop will take.
Or A4, at home
One switch prints it on the paper in your printer instead.
Leave the living out
One more switch prints a copy with everybody still alive removed, for the version that gets passed around.

06

The things that are not people

Half of what a family is does not fit in a box with a birth date.

الوصفات
In the handwriting, if you have it. With the note about how she never actually measured the flour.
المقتنيات الموروثة
The watch, the ring, the tea set - what it is, who has it now, and who it came from.
التقاليد
The thing your family does that nobody else does, written down before the person who started it is gone.

07

Privacy that is built in, not bolted on

The reason to pay for this instead of using something free.

Living relatives are hidden
Automatically, from every public page - no name, no dates, no places, no photograph. It happens before the page is built, so it holds for search engines and forwarded links too.
Private trees
Keep the whole thing behind a share code you hand out, and revoke when you want to.
لا إعلانات، أبدًا
Your family is not the product and never becomes one. One yearly price is the entire business model.
Comments you approve
Relatives can add what they remember. Nothing appears until you have read it.
Watch a person
Get told when something changes on the people you care about, instead of checking.

08

Proof, and taking it back

A family tree with no sources is a rumour. A family tree you cannot undo is a hostage.

Sources and citations
Where did this come from? The certificate, the census, the aunt who told you. Attached to the fact it supports.
Every change, kept
Who changed what, when, and what it was before. Revert any single change.
A recycle bin
Deleted a person by accident? Put them back.
Export everything, one click
A GEDCOM of any tree, and a full copy of your whole account. No email to support, no waiting, no asking.

09

Your account

Boring, and the reason you can trust the rest of it.

Two-factor sign-in
An authenticator app or a code by email, and a list of the devices signed in, which you can sign out from here.
A trusted contact
Name someone who can take the trees over if you cannot. This is a genealogy product; it should have an answer for that.
Seats for the family
On the family plan, three sign-ins: yours and two more, each a real account with its own password. Take one back whenever you like.
12 languages, including right-to-left
The whole site, not just the marketing pages.
Works on a phone
Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app, because for most of what you do here it is one.

All of it, for one yearly price

There is no cheaper tier missing half of this, and nothing on this page costs extra. The only choice is how many people in your family should be able to add to it.
